- Moscow, Russia - Center for Energy and Security Studies (CENESS) held a workshop on ‘The 2012 Conference on the Establishment of a WMD-Free Zone in the Middle East: Obstacles and Possible Outcomes'. The presentation was made by Amb. Sergey Batsanov, Director of the Geneva Office of Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, who also was leading the Soviet, then Russian delegations to the Conference on Disarmament in 1989-1993.

- Moscow, Russia - CENESS Director Anton Khlopkov made a presentation during a workshop on "The IAEA Report, Iran's Nuclear Program and the future of Non-Proliferation" , organized by Heinrich Böll Foundation's Moscow office. Other presentation was made by Oliver Meier, International Representative of Arms Control Association (ACA) and a researcher with the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg.
